Pro Vitamin B5
This ingredient, also known as panthenol, is the precursor of Vitamin B5 used in cosmetics which, once in the skin, is metabolized and transformed into the active form. Due to its functions, it has proven to be useful in the care of skin prone to atopic dermatitis, as it has a high moisturizing and emollient power, as well as anti-inflammatory and re-epithelializing, since it stimulates fibroblasts. It is considered moisturizing because it prevents transepidermal water loss, which also makes it a good protector of the skin barrier function.
