Salicylic Acid
This BHA, derived from willow bark, has proven to be highly effective in the care of oily, acne-prone and blackhead-prone skin. Its bacteriostatic and anti-inflammatory properties make it useful against blackheads and pimples. Its liposolubility allows it to penetrate and exert its action with better results and its ability to exfoliate the skin, clean pores and regulate excess sebum, make it very suitable for effective cell renewal and improvement of the barrier function and overall skin texture. Although it is not photosensitizing, its exfoliating properties require the use of sun protection.
